The biggest piece in the collection, the real "show-stopper," didn't even make it to the show! Yep, it was that lucky. But you know what? I couldn't be happier because it found its forever home with a truly fantastic family.
Here's the heartwarming twist: The wife bought it for her husband. Why, you ask? Because he's always been her "hero on the white horse." How touching is that?
I was interested in showing figures in the shadows in the foreground and brightness in the background. It's an easy thing for our eyes to do but if you take a picture, the camera tends to want to add contrast and darken the shadowed area. This picture serves to show me that I could push it a bit further. So I will go back and add darker values on the ground.
Here is a piece of art I painted for a second time but on better paper. If you go back on this Blog to Jan 16, 2019 you can see the difference. The big thing was to change to 100% cotton #watercolor #acuarela #feria #spain #andalucia #feriadeabril #alegria
I took this picture to show the size of the painting I'm working on. There was no stretcher available in the size I wanted to work and I figured out a way to make it work. i went to Home Depot and bought the piece of wood and stapled the raw canvas to it. Now Im wondering how I am going to display the work. Should I cut the board down and wrap it? BTW, it is super heavy!! #carlostaylorart
