I enjoy painting large formats like this. This painting came together quickly. There was a Lily pond, or is it Lotus? Anyway, one of them near where I live. I took a picture and combined it with a blue Heron to give the scene some drama. I'm always amazed at how they are able to fish even in murky waters. In this scene, the water is clear and beautiful.
